Helpful hints

  • Use a skillet or straight-sided sauté pan to give dumplings plenty of room. Broth should almost cover the dumplings.

Morning, not a comment but a question. Does the above recipe only include the nutrition values for the dumplings? What about the roast chicken and gravy? Thank you. Dietitian comment: Yes the nutrient values are for the recipe ingredients only. You can use DaVita Diet Helper My Creations feature to create a meal using this recipe and adding the chicken and gravy. All the DaVita recipes are built into Diet Helper so it's easy to create your own meal around any recipe and see the nutrients.

I am just starting to learn how to cook based on my kidney condition and I can't wait to try several of these recipes. I am grateful for having found your site that has all of the information contained in one place.

These were absolutely horrible! Tasted like wallpaper paste. No flavor whatsoever.

Easy and delicious! I mixed some chicken broth with it instead of plain water and Mrs. Dash seasoning in it. It went well with the Zesty chicken & deviled green beans.

I have not tried the receipt yet, but will. This isn't so much a comment but a question, how would it change the nutrients per serving if you added just a little chicken? Is that possible? Moderator comment: Sure, each ounce of stewed chicken you will add 50 calories, 7.5 grams protein, 20 mg sodium, 51 mg potassium and 43 mg phosphorus.
